Things to know about Alocasia Rhizomes

Alocasia rhizomes are a special and exciting way to grow new plants. You're there from the very beginning, accompanying your plant step by step as it grows. At the same time, it's important to know that this form of propagation is always associated with an exciting developmental process.

Each rhizome develops in its own way. Even if several rhizomes come from the same mother plant, they are not identical copies. Growth, leaf size, and development can differ significantly over time.

A common topic is variegation. Unfortunately, this cannot be promised. It can appear early, only after several leaves, change, or in some cases even disappear completely. This is in the nature of the plant and is not a quality characteristic of the rhizome itself.

There is no guarantee that a rhizome will sprout variegated. Even if the mother plant is heavily variegated, the rhizomes obtained from it can grow purely green. Conversely, it is also possible for rhizomes from less variegated plants to develop strong variegation. Both developments are completely natural and possible.

Shipping

Plants are shipped Monday through Wednesday to ensure your plant isn't in transit over the weekend.

Your plant will be carefully and securely packed and shipped with a DHL tracking number. The shipping cost will be calculated at checkout.

In winter, each plant receives special winter packaging with insulation and gold foil, as well as a 72h heat pack, so that it arrives safely protected even in cool temperatures. If you would like a 110h heat pack instead of the 72h heat pack, you can select this for an additional €1.
