Longiloba Mottled Mint

The Alocasia Longiloba Mottled Mint stands out with its long leaves and striking mint-colored variegation. The unique leaf pattern varies from plant to plant, giving each Longiloba an individual appearance. Additionally, it is one of the easier Alocasias to care for, making it suitable for both beginners and collectors.

You choose your own plant specimen. This specimen will be carefully packaged and sent to you. Please note that living plants naturally continue to develop until shipment and may therefore deviate slightly from the product images.

If you are looking for rhizomes from it, you can find them here.

Shipping

Plants are shipped Monday to Wednesday to ensure they are not in transit over the weekend.

Your plant will be carefully and securely packaged and sent with a DHL tracking number. The shipping cost will be calculated at checkout.

In winter, each plant receives special winter packaging with insulation and gold foil, as well as a 72h heat pack, so that it arrives safely protected even in cool temperatures. If you prefer a 110h heat pack instead of the 72h heat pack, you can select this for an additional €1.

Care instructions

  • Irrigation

Water the Alocasia regularly, but make sure the top layer of soil dries out slightly before watering again. Alocasias do not like constantly wet soil and are very sensitive to waterlogging, as this can lead to root rot.

If you are unsure, I recommend self-watering pots. You can find them here.

  • Care

Alocasias are heavy feeders and absolutely need fertilizer. Otherwise, it can happen that a new leaf grows, but the next one dies immediately because the necessary nutrient supply is missing. Therefore, regularly give them a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season.

  • Location

Alocasia prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the delicate leaves and should therefore be avoided.

  • Humidity and Temperature

Alocasias love high humidity, ideally around 60% to 80%, which is consistent with their tropical origin and supports the development of healthy, strong leaves.

Keep your Alocasia at a comfortable, warm room temperature of about 18°C to 24°C and protect it from drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations, as it comes from tropical regions and tolerates cold poorly.
