Fallopia Multiflora Variegata is a rare, variegated ornamental form of the many-flowered knotweed, known for its heart-shaped leaves with creamy white margins, offering an attractive alternative to standard green and making it a beautiful climbing plant for sunny to partially shaded locations.
It is a very thirsty plant; do not let the substrate dry out.
A self-watering pot is particularly well-suited for this species, as it keeps your substrate consistently moist, provides your plant with even moisture, and requires less frequent watering, ideal for thirsty plants. You can find a suitable pot here.
You select your own plant specimen. This specimen will be carefully packaged and sent to you. Please note that living plants naturally continue to develop until shipment and may therefore differ slightly from the product images.
Shipping
Plants are shipped Monday through Wednesday so that your plant is not in transit over the weekend.
Your plant will be carefully and securely packed and shipped with a DHL tracking number. Shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.
In winter, each plant receives special winter packaging with insulation and gold foil, as well as a 72h heat pack, so that it arrives safely protected even in cool temperatures. If you would like a 110h heat pack instead of the 72h heat pack, you can select this for an additional €1.
Safety Notice
The plants offered on this website are ornamental plantsand are not for consumption. They have not been tested for human or animal consumption and may contain natural ingredients that can cause health problems or even symptoms of poisoning if ingested. This is particularly true for children and pets who may put plant parts in their mouths. Basic precautions should be observed when handling plants, as even harmless houseplants can cause undesirable reactions if ingested or if there is skin contact.
Fallopia Multiflora is one of those really thirsty plants that doesn't like it when the substrate completely dries out. You should therefore keep it moist as much as possible and not allow the soil to become completely dry, otherwise the leaves will quickly curl and hang limply, but will recover as soon as they receive water again.
It is important that the substrate is consistently moist but not soggy. If you are unsure, I recommend self-watering pots. You can find them here.
Fertilizer
During the growing season in spring and summer, the plant thrives on regular, balanced fertilization, which supports vigorous growth and leaf development.
Location
Fallopia Multiflora thrives best in a bright location with indirect light; too little light will lead to weak growth, while overly intense direct sun can damage the leaves
Humidity and Temperature
They love high humidity, ideally around 60% to 80%.
Keep your Fallopia at a pleasant, warm room temperature of about 18°C to 24°C and protect it from drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations, as it does not tolerate cold well.
